A draft agenda is included below. Each meeting day will follow a similar format. If you have suggestions about the general format or about items that should be included for a particular target species, please let us know. We would like to start each day with a brief review of the questions about each target species that were addressed by synthesis-phase proposals; please let us know if you would like to volunteer to present a review.
Ultimate Goal
To provide updates on population dynamics modeling, spatial distributions, and on egg production, growth, and mortality data.
To identify important events or problem areas that need attention.
To identify what data must be shared between groups to further the understanding of the target species.
To compare patterns of variability in target species with one another and with other important species.
Welcome and logistics
Review of the questions asked at the beginning of the synthesis phase (10 - 20 min.).
Presentations
10 minute talks, brief intro to posters, poster session
Discussion sessions targeting particular questions:
How have recent results and synthesis answered or changed the questions that were asked about the target species? As the synthesis phase is coming to an end, what are the most important questions about each target species?
What data do we have and/or need to answer these questions? What information do we need from different groups?
How are key patterns of variability of the target species related to variability in other species?
Where do we go from here? What additional data from other groups would be most beneficial to answering key questions?
