Data Synthesis

• Physical component online environmental chronology - Irish/ Limeburner [moored] , Bisagni [SST], Smith/Mountain [hydro], Allison [website], Beardsley [met], {get all LT moored, met data processed, organized; present at Oct BS workshop}

• Analysis/synthesis of 1999 bank-wide moored/stratification data -brink, Limeburner, Flagg, Beardsley, Smith, Mountain {get all 1998-99 moored, met data processed,

• Assessment of interannual variability for SSCs on Northeast Peak from historical hydrographic/altimeter database (Bisagni, Smith, Han?) – broaden to include interannual variability of stratification, forcing, physical environment,… Mountain, Brink, Beardsley, Limeburner, ….

• Analysis/synthesis of 1999 southern TMF physical/biological data – [Churchill, Ledwell, Schlitz, Lentz, ….

• Analysis of structure, variability, and loss potential of SSF – Flagg [adcp], Brink/Limeburner/Irish [drifter,mooring, ISWs], Bisagni [SST], …

Model

• FVCOM development (1. resolve pressure-grad problem; 2. finalize model grid for initial studies; 3. determine tidal BCs; ) - Chen, Beardsley

• Realistic FVCOM simulation of 1999 stratification season (1. specify surface forcing; 2. spectify upstream BCs; 3. chose periods for testing; 4. decide model/data tests) - Chen, Beardsley, Limeburner, Brink,…..
