•Calanus mortality varies spatially and temporally on GB; losses due to mortality > advective losses •Invertebrate predators include Centropages, Metridia, Temora, Sagitta, and Pleurobrachia •High consumption of all copepod life stages by the hydroid Clytia gracilis, particularly on the crest; predator populations peak there in April-May •Cannibalistic feeding by C. finmarchicus may lead to density- dependent mortality.
