Results for Georges Bank are better, consistent with a more stationary process and more available data. The correlation structure clearly reflects the physical significance of Georges Bank. While the estimate is distinctly low in the spring at this location, this reflects data at elsewhere within the correlated region of space and time where it is colder. The estimate will be a weighted sum which falls between the measured values in that correlated region. This method does not extrapolate trends, the results are therefore guaranteed to fall between the observed values and the seasonal mean.
