Pseudocalanus spp. in the Western Gulf of Maine
§COOA/REACH samples were analyzed for seasonal cycles of all copepod species occurring in the samples (Manning & Bucklin, 2004).
We are sampling monthly at four stations on a transect beginning roughly 10km offshore.  At each station as part of Project REACH we are collecting phytoplankton and physical data which I will not be discussing today.  The copepods are caught using a quarter meter MOCNESS which relays real-time CTD data, allowing me to ensure that one net samples water above the pycnocline, and another net samples below it to within 5m of the bottom.  Once we have the samples back in the labÉ
