SOGLO 2001-2001 snow and ice studies cd version 2 20090506: summary of cd data: buoy_therm - buoy_num, date, time, temp_air, press_bar: 4 buoys, aug-nov '01 buoy_position - buoy_num, date, time, lat, lon : 4 buoys, aug-nov '01. buoy_radm - buoy#07949 only. date, time, radiation (in mW nm-1 cm-2) - for air, ice, and water buoy_temp_barom - date (aug-nov'01), time, temp at 5 cm intervals above, in and below ice from 60 to -100 cm ?? where is 2002 data for the buoys? ice_core_props - ice core physics: len, depth, temp, brine_vol, sal, crystal description, site desc. ice_obs_lmg&nbp - 3 cruises. 2001-02. observations from bridge: date, time, lat, lon, ice cover, etc., topography, snow type, weather optic_data - on 8 days in aug. & sept'02. wavelen, albedos, transmittance on snow and ice snow_pit_data - 2 files, 1/yr. site, event_num, date, yrday, location, lat, lon, depth_snow, temp_air, clouds, wind, precip. 2002 file has multiple pages with further data - will need major reformating. cruise_tracks: lmg0106, lmg-0205 (2 days only) I (NJC) formatted and served: buoy_therm buoy_position buoy_radm buoy_temp_barom ?? is time local or gmt?? - decided to use gmt. I still need to add metadata and check if they're really local time or utc. I put them as local for now. I reformatted the therm one so that it's long and thin, with the therm_pos repeated. so it could be restructured. I decided not to do the same for the radm one, repeating the wavelength because I think this will make the data harder to use. 20090507-08: Changed the 4 buoy objects to _gmt from _local. Couldn't find any proof one way or another from the cd but it's supposed to be in gmt. Added some metadata: buoy_position, buoy_therm, buoy_radm, buoy_temp_barom ===================== 20120815 S.Rauch - created buoy_position.latlonparams and added to buoy_position.ind file. Lon values were positive, when they should be negative. latlonparams corrects this. ===================== 20121116 NJCopley buoy_radm: The data isn't serving because the variable names have a period in them. I changed the periods to underscores e.g. rad_412.3 --> rad_412_3 The path in the file buoy_radm was pointing to data13 instead of data12. I changed that and now it's serving properly. Dicky suggested that it broke due to the new machine with updated server.
