After exactly mapping it's location, we deployed a grappling rig and towed around and back of the mooring. We snagged the mooring above the lower hard-hat buoys and recovered all of the mooring except one current meter and one T-pod. We were able to range again on the acoustic release, but a second drag attempt was unsuccessful, probably due to the now much reduced profile of the mooring. With good calm seas, we'll head in this evening to calmer water, re-arrange the deck, and drop the zodiacs for whale observation and biopsy work over the next several days.
