Any publication of "first-order" descriptive results of zooplankton abundances and distributions derived directly from this zooplankton data set is the privilege of the investigators that have collected and enumerated the data.
Any person making substantial use of this zooplankton data base for the purpose of publishing results should communicate their intentions of use to the principal investigators prior to publication. This includes submission of abstracts to written publications or presentations at meetings and extends to model results and to data organized for retrospective studies. The user of the zooplankton data base should also anticipate that the investigators will be co-authors of published results.
