• The University of Maine School of Marine Science plans a workshop for Winter 1998, dates to be determined soon. The workshop will be an interdisciplinary discussion of the types of information that need to be collected and studied in order to try to restore the coastal cod fishery of Penobscot Bay, Maine. Information on this workshop will be available on the RARGOM web site. • The Announcement of Opportunity for THE U.S. GLOBAL OCEAN ECOSYSTEMS DYNAMICS PROGRAM , Northwest Atlantic Field Studies, Phase 3: Modeling, Observation and Process Field Studies, and Synthesis is now available. An Open Meeting for all principal investigators interested in responding to this AO is scheduled for November 3-4, 1997 at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
