    <descript>
Repeat CTD sections were conducted across the Eastern Gulf of
      Maine and Scotian Shelf by Canada's Bedford Institute of Oceanography
      (BIO) as a contributing partner to the GLOBEC program. The objectives of
      this work were to: (1) determine the seasonal hydrographic properties
      along the eastern boundary of the Gulf of Maine, (2) measure the
      hydrographic structure over Truxton Swell and in Jordan Basin, and (3)
      determine the extent of slope water penetration into Jordan Basin. These
      CTD sections augment current meter deployments in the same region. Ship
      and cruise dates are listed below: Cygnus 98-079 Mar 03 Mar 31, 1999
      Hudson 98-077 Nov 20 Nov 26, 1998 Parizeau 93-032 Oct 12 Oct 16, 1993
