Current meter observations, Northeast Channel and adjacent
sites, Georges Bank, 1993-1999, GLOBEC.
Current meter moorings were deployed in the areas of
northeastern Georges Bank, Northeast Channel, and Scotian Shelf. Mooring
sites were occupied continuously for the period: October 1993 to May 1997
and November 1998 to September 1999. The observations were collected by
Canada's Bedford Institute of Oceanography (BIO) as a contributing
partner to GLOBEC. The data are reported as hourly values of temperature,
salinity, current speed and direction. Except for the data gap (97 - 98),
some sites and depths have data coverage for the entire
period.
