Integrated into the towed Bio-Optical Multi-frequency
Acoustical and Physical Environmental Recorder (BIOMAPER-II) vehicle is
an enhanced CTD sensor package. The data reported here are the high
resolution observations of temperature, salinity, light transmission,
fluorescence and calculated values of potential temperature and potential
density recorded along the ship's track. The unit is generally towed in
an oscillating manner over a depth range of 0 to 200m. Observations were
made during five cruises to the Gulf of Maine/Georges Bank region, Oct
and Dec 1997-1999. These data have not been post cruise
corrected/calibrated and are to be considered as semi-processed.
