Chlorophyll-a and phaeopigments, water column observations,
April-May 2002, Continental Margin Western Antarctic Peninsula,
GLOBEC.
Water column sampling for chlorophyll-a and phaeopigment
concentrations were collected using a CTD niskin rosette sampler during a
single ship cruise to the Antarctic, April-May 2002. Samples analyzed
using a Turner Fluorometer (LE 40603). Sampling ranged from the surface
to 3000 meters with a sampling concentration in the upper water column.
The general survey area includes: the continental shelf to the west of
the Antarctic Peninsula extending from Crystal Sound south to Alexander
Island, including Marguerite Bay, and seaward to water depths of 3000
meters. Data reported: chlorophyll-a and phaeopigment concentrations Ship
/ cruise / cruise dates: RV Lawrence M. Gould / LMG02-03 / Apr 7 ^? May
