Special GLOBEC Canada Session at CMOS 1998

A special session on "Climate Variability Influences on Shelf and Associated Ecosystems" is being organized by GLOBEC Canada as part of the 32nd Annual Congress of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society. The congress will be held at the Holiday Inn, Dartmouth, N.S. on 1-4 June 1998. The theme of the congress is "Atmosphere-Ocean Climate Variability". Other special sessions include WOCE/CLIVAR and JGOFS research.

The convenor of the GLOBEC special session is Brian Petrie of BIO. Papers are solicited on all aspects of the GLOBEC Canada program, as well as from other research related to the GLOBEC themes of:

Please note that the deadline for receipt of abstracts is 6 February 1998.

GLOBEC Canada investigators are strongly urged to use this opportunity to present early results of their GLOBEC research to the wider Canadian scientific community.
