Using Functions to Extend Actions

A function in Stateflow is an extension of Stateflow actions. You define a program once in a function, but call it as many times as you need in Stateflow action language. This provides convenience and power to Stateflow action language.

Stateflow defines three types of functions: graphical, truth table, and embedded MATLAB. Truth tables are described in Truth Table Functions and embedded MATLAB functions are described in Using Embedded MATLAB Functions. This section describes graphical functions.
