    It seems that this printer is a Japan only model.  Similar to
    950C, 957C...&lt;p&gt;

    The best output one gets with HP&apos;s HPIJS 1.3 or newer. If you
    cannot update to HPIJS 1.3 for some reason, you can also use HPIJS
    1.2.2 with the patches from Matthias Bunte and Richard
    Spencer-Smith (&quot;hpijs-rss&quot;). The GIMP-Print driver also
    works (Model setting: &quot;pcl-900&quot;), but only up to 600
    dpi.&lt;p&gt;

    Older comments:&lt;p&gt;

    It works with &quot;cdj550&quot;, &quot;cdj670&quot; and
    &quot;cdj880&quot; drivers supported by printtool.&lt;p&gt;

    No problem with Japanese language printing with Kondara
    MNU/Linux.&lt;p&gt;

    I think &quot;cdj880&quot; is better, but picture (color) quality
    is not good...&lt;p&gt;

    B/W quality is good for normal printing job.&lt;p&gt;

    Yes, I don&apos;t recommend using this printer for color photo
    printing.&lt;p&gt;
