If you cannot update to HPIJS 1.3 for some reason, you can also use HPIJS 1.2.2 with the patches from Matthias Bunte and Richard Spencer-Smith ("hpijs-rss"). The GIMP-Print driver also works (Model setting: "pcl-900"), but only up to 600 dpi.<p> Copying: should just work? Yes, independant of PC.<p> Scanning works using the <a href="http://hpoj.sourceforge.net/">HPOJ</a> low-level driver together with its <a href="http://www.sane-project.org/">SANE</a> backend "hpoj".<p> For printing via USB you NEED to set up this printer with <a href="http://hpoj.sourceforge.net/">HPOJ</a>, even if you do not want to scan. Only using the modified USB printer.c kernel module from the HPOJ web site does not work with this model.<p>
