<en>
Multifunction device: print/copy/scan/fax.

PC faxing not yet supported.

High-end variation of the OfficeJet
G55 theme, with automatic document feeder (ADF), fax
capability, print duplexer, and JetDirect 170X print server; see
that entry for scanning and other driver information. Use the
"hpijs", "cdj970" or "pcl3" driver
for duplex support, the "hpijs" from HP gives the best
output quality.

The best output one gets with HP's HPIJS 1.3 or newer. If you
cannot update to HPIJS 1.3 for some reason, you can also use HPIJS
1.2.2 with the patches from Matthias Bunte and Richard
Spencer-Smith ("hpijs-rss"). The GIMP-Print driver also
works (Model setting: "pcl-900"), but only up to 600
dpi.

For printing via USB you NEED to set up this printer with HPOJ,
even if you do not want to scan. Only using the modified USB
printer.c kernel module from the HPOJ web site does not work with
this model.
