Shows &applet; applet. Contains Stop, Play, Eject, Previous Track, and Next Track buttons.

The &applet; applet enables you to play audio Compact Discs (CDs) on your computer. To add &applet; to a panel, right-click on the panel, then choose Add to Panel Multimedia CD Player . The layout of the &applet; applet varies depending on the size and type of panel in which the applet resides. To play a CD, insert the CD in the CD drive of your computer, then click on the Shows Play button. button.

The applet displays the following information, as shown in : The number of the track that is currently playing. The time elapsed on the current track. To move to the next track on the CD, click on the Shows Next Track button. button. To continue moving through the next tracks on the CD, continue to click on the Shows Next Track button. button. To move to the previous track on the CD, click on the Shows Previous Track button. button. To continue moving through the previous tracks on the CD, continue to click on the Shows Previous Track button. button. To pause a CD that is playing, click on the Shows Pause button. button. When you pause a CD, the time elapsed on the current track flashes until you resume playing the CD. To resume playing the CD, click on the Shows Play (after Pause) button. button. To stop a CD, click on the Shows Stop button. button. To eject the CD, click on the Shows Eject button. button. The applet ejects the CD from the CD drive. Remove the CD, then close the drive. To access additional features for playing audio CDs, such as to edit track information or to adjust the volume, you can start the CD Player application. To start the CD Player application from the CD Player, right-click on the applet, then choose Open CD Player. To specify the CD device that the applet accesses, right-click on the applet, then choose Preferences. Type the path to the CD device in the Device path text box. To use the default CD device for the system, click Use Default. To save the change and close the CD Player Preferences dialog, click Close.
