Shows &applet; applet with no connection.

The &applet; applet provides a convenient way to monitor connections to wireless devices. To add &applet; to a panel, right-click on the panel, then choose Add to PanelInternetWireless Link Monitor. The layout of the &applet; applet varies depending on the size and type of panel in which the applet resides. When no wireless device has a connection, the &applet; displays the text NA, and the applet boxes are transparent. When a wireless device has a connection, the &applet; displays the text Wi Fi. The color of the boxes in the panel applet indicates whether a link is established, as follows: Green The wireless device has established a link. The strength of the link is indicated by the number of green boxes: the greater the number of green boxes, the stronger the link. Red The wireless device has not established a link. You can also display the signal strength as a percentage. For more information on how to configure &applet; to show the signal strength as a percentage, see . Each instance of &applet; can monitor only one wireless device. You must start an instance of &applet; for each wireless device that you want to monitor. To configure &applet;, right-click on the applet, then choose Preferences. The Wireless Link Monitor Preferences dialog contains the following components: Monitored device Use this drop-down list to select the wireless device that you want to monitor.
