Distinguishing features:
 

FEMALE: Forehead with a long and slightly curved spine. Antennule extends beyond the caudal furca by about five segments. Mandible with 2 teeth, anterior tooth with 2 small spines. In right mandible the small spine on the anterior tooth is not so distinct as in the left. Maxillule bears 4 setae on the one-segmented endopod and 5 setae on the second basal. Maxilla with a long spine on the 5th lobe. Spermathecae are widely separated. Coxa of leg 5 with a small internal seta and basis with a long external seta; endopod segment 1 and 2 with 1 seta each and segment 3 with 6 setae; exopod segment 1 with an outer marginal spine, segment 2 with an outer marginal spine and a small inner spine, segment 3 with 3 inner setae, 1 marginal spine and 1 glandular pore, 2 terminal spines one 4 times longer than the other, terminal margin of this segment serrated.
