Distinguishing features:
 

Male: Prosome tapered anteriorly and produced into a spine. Antennule reaches up to the caudal furca. Mandibular blade with two strong teeth. Anterior tooth with two small spines. Endopod of maxillule one segmented bears 3 setae. Maxilla with 1 long spine on the 5th lobe. Spermathecae are widely separated. Coxa with a small inner seta, basis with 1 long seta; endopod 1 and 2 with 1 inner seta each, endopod 3 with 6 setae; exopod 1 with 1 outer marginal spine, segment 2 with an outer marginal spine and a smaller inner spine and one glandular pore, segment 3 with 3 inner setae, 1 outer marginal spine, 1 glandular pore and 2 terminal spines, one 4 times longer than the other. Female: Coxa of left 5th leg with a spinous projection on both sides and the basis with a long seta, setations of the endopod segment of both sides are same, segment 1 without setae, segment 2 and 3 having 1 and 6 setae respectively; exopod segment 1 of left leg with 1 marginal spine, 2 with 1 glandular pore and 1 marginal spine, segment 3 with 2 glandular pores and 1 marginal spine, two terminal spines, one having twice the length of the other; exopod 1 of right leg with I marginal spine, exopod 2 with one middle spine and 1 glandular pore, segment 3 with 1 long proximal spine, 2 terminal spines one slightly longer than other and one glandular pore.
