Distinguishing features:
 

FEMALE: Anterior region of the prosome broad and somewhat triangular. Antennule long and extends beyond the caudal furca by about 5 segments. Mandibular blade with two tooth; anterior tooth bears two additional spines on the outer margin and 1 small spine on the inner margin. Endopod of maxilla I with one segment and carry two setae. Maxilla II bears two strong spines, one on the 5th and another on the 6th lobe. Coxa of leg 5 with a small seta, basis with a long seta, endopod 1 and 2 carries one inner seta each and endopod 3 with 6 setae, exopod segment 1 bears one outer marginal spine, segment 3 with 3 inner setae and 1 outer marginal spine and 2 terminal spines, one 5 times longer than the other, two glandular pores occur one behind the marginal spine and the other at the base of the small terminal spine.

MALE: Prosome somewhat triangular. Leg 5 of left side with coxa bearing a spinous projection and that of the right side without spine; basis with a long seta; endopod segment 1 of both sides without seta, segment 2 and 3 bears 1 and 6 seta respectively; exopod segment 1 of both sides with a marginal spine, segment 2 with a marginal spine and one glandular pore on either side, segment 3 of left leg carries a middle spine and one glandular pore at its base and two terminal spines, one 2.5 times longer than the other, exopod segment 3 of right leg carries a long middle spine with small spinules and 1 glandular pore at its base and 2 terminal spines , one 2 times longer than the other.
