Distinguishing features:
 

FEMALE: Prosome with a distinct spine. Antennule extends beyond the end of the caudal furca by about four segments. Mandibular blade with two teeth; anterior tooth bears two additional spines on the outer margin and 1 small spine on the inner margin. Endopod of maxillule one segmented and bears three seta. Maxilla bears two strong spines, one on the 5th and another on the 6th lobe. Coxa of leg 5 with a small seta; basis with long seta; endopod 1&2 bears one seta each, 3 with 6 setae; exopod segment segment 1 with 1 marginal spine and 1 glandular pore, segment 3 carries 3 inner setae, 1 outer spine and 2 terminal spines, one 4 times longer than the other, and 2 glandular pores.

MALE: Forehead somewhat rounded. Coxa of left leg carries a curved spine like projection; basis with a long seta; endopod 1 without seta, segment 2&3 carries1&6 setae respectively on both sides; exopod segment 1of left leg with a terminal spine and one glandular pore, segment 2 carries 3 glandular pores and one spine, segment 3 with 1 glandular pore and 2 terminal spines, one double the length of the other. Coxa of the right leg without spine; exopod segment 1 with 1 spine, segment 2 extends internally as a conical protrusion with 2 glandular pores and 1 spine, exopod segment 3 with 2 proximal spines, one 4 times longer than the other and carries small spinules and 2 terminal spines, one three times longer than the other.
