Pingguo He's cd of data: subdirectories dates in filenames kite study 2/6/04- 4/18/04 'NS' and 'Ten' files Composite 4/17/04-5/24/04 'NS' and 'Ten' files All files are .xls with Lengths and stats of 3 species of shrimp and an unlabelled species. Pandalus borealis is not mentioned on data sheets but is presumed to be the species for which the lengths are listed for males, females, and various reproductive states. Other data includes frozen weight, catch per unit effort, count per lb, trash mass. Labelled species: Dichelo Dichelopandalus leptocerus (S. I. Smith, 1881) -- valid -- bristled longbeak Montagui Pandalus montagui Leach, 1814 -- valid -- Aesop shrimp Crangon (12 spp.) probably Crangon septemspinosa Say, 1818 -- sand shrimp, sevenspine bay shrimp from report, "Design and Test of a Kite-assisted Shrimp Codend to Reduce Small Shrimps and Juvenile Fish Bycatch" Shrimp sizes were evaluated by measuring the carapace length and determining the 'count' which is the number of shrimp per pound. Shrimp samples sent to DMR were measured (for carapace length), and examined (sex, sexual stage, and whether egg bearing). Three species of shrimps were identified in the shrimp samples and their (?) were separately recorded. exhibit 5: Target species 'shrimp': Pandalus borealis.
