Northeast Consortium: FY2001 Funding and Proposal Process

In FY2000, the Northeast Consortium was funded as a federal appropriation to the University of New Hampshire via the National Marine Fisheries Service. We expect that funds will be appropriated in a similar fashion for FY2001. However, funding levels and legislative guidance on the use of the funds will not be finalized until the FY2001 federal budget is signed.

The Northeast Consortium has not yet released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for FY2001. The RFP will be released (and posted to the web site http://www.NortheastConsortium.org) as soon as possible. In the meantime, please refer to the FY2000 Northeast Consortium RFP - available on the same web site. Deadlines for the FY2001 RFP process are planned as follows:

February 13th: Planning Letters due to UNH
March 1st: Response to Planning Letter authors
April 27th: Full Proposals due to UNH
May 18th: Response to proposal authors
June 1st: NEC FY2001 award start dates
