Net Sensor Test
Gary went to Portland and met
Mike Stinchfield at the Susan and Caitlyn for a
trial run. They went out and were able to do a one hour tow with the
NetSensor
tied to the head rope. He lost some of the
data due to low battery power in the NetSensor. But he is confident that
except for the final touches in the software, the NetSensor is ready to go.
Note that it was sampling at 1/2 seconds for all of the tow; they haven't yet
included the software to slow down the sampling during the tow. Once a minute
during the tow seems more than adequate. In that case, we are ready to
handle tows of well over six hours.
Gary thanks
Mike
for his exceptional good humor and excellent
cooperation and Craig for making the time available on the Susan and Caitlyn.
Gary said it was a
very pleasant experience for him and very useful, as well.
