When underway an ice watch was maintained. Every hour ice observations were made from the bridge using the ASPECT protocol. The ice thickness, concentration, and type were recorded for the primary, secondary, and tertiary ice types. Air temperature, wind speed and direction, cloud cover, and current weather were also recorded. Sample results are present in a table. Complete results are in a file ICE_OBS.XLS in the DATA directory.
