Q.   How often do you go on cruises and for how long?

A.   This is my very first oceanography cruise.   As a science teacher at South Salem High School in Salem, Oregon, I jumped at the chance to be a part of the cruise and learn first hand what is involved in ocean research.  The crew has been extremely helpful in taking the time to explain what they are doing and involve me in the activities.   As a native Oregonian, I am especially excited about the chance to experience the off-shore waters of Oregon from the Revelle.   The perspective of the Oregon coast from out at sea is one that all Oregonians should experience at least once.
